Rumourmonger: Kate Moss for Christian Dior

As they say, “When one door closes, another opens”, and even though Kate Moss for Topshop comes to an end it seems you cant keep a super, supermodel down. Rumours have come to our pricked up ears that our stalwart favourite may not have lost her luster. Weve heard that Kate will be gracing the next campaign for Dior beauty, though how that will fall in line with her ambassadorship for Rimmel is the big question.

3 Easy Tips For Pulling Of The Maxi Skirt In Style

The maxi skirt is huge news for 2011, but before you get all “I’m too short/curvy/timid to wear one!”, we’ve got a few great tips for rocking the soon-to-be staple with style.

1: Define that waist! There’s one surefire way to look like a shapeless sack in a maxi skirt–by hiding your gorgeous figure under too much fabric. Adding a belt, like Olivia Palermo did with her motorcycle jacket/printed skirt combo, or as seen on a model from J. Crew’s spring 2011 presentation, will give you a distinct silhouette and help emphasize the slimmest part of your body.

2: Show a little skin We’re not saying you need to get all T&A extravaganza on us, but a little flash of flesh will keep your maxi skirt far from grandma territory. Opt for a deep-plunging v-neck, like on this model at MaxMara, or wear a sleeveless turtleneck to remind people that you’ve got a hot young bod under that super-long skirt.

3: Mind your proportions This one is especially helpful if you’re not a supermodel–don’t go big on the top and big on the bottom, because too much volume can give the appearance that you’re bigger than you really are. If you’ve got some curves, flaunt ’em in a tucked-in fitted top; if you’re keen on keeping your bum covered, go for a boyfriend blazer and cinch it around the middle.

Have you dolls been temped to try out the maxi skirt trend yet? How would you wear it? Do any of these tips make the trend seem less intimidating? Discuss!

Frida Gustavsson for Anna Sui Beauty Spring 2011

Each season, Anna Sui’s beauty campaign features a doll-like model (other Sui campaigns have used Agyness Deyn and Jessica Stam).  This season, Frida Gustavvson takes on the role, showing off colourful purple eyeshadow, flawless lipgloss and glowing skin, as well as tightly curled ringlets and coordinating jewellery. This isn’t Frida’s first time fronting the campaign – she starred in the Fall/Winter 2010 beauty campaign too, and so is continuing her successful streak with the label.

20 Model Red Carpet Moments of 2010

2010 Has been a year to shine for models on the red carpet: Heidi Klum graced the red carpet at the Emmy Awards in a scandalously short dress by Marchesa earlier this year, while we’ve also seen some of our favourite catwalk models grab the spotlight too: Chanel Iman cemented her style icon status when she showed in a slinky gold lamé jumpsuit for the 2010 MET ball, while Natasha Poly showed us how crisp white is done while attending a Givenchy hosted MoMA party. Not forgetting the mysterious and awe-inspiring costumes that some of our favourite models slipped in to for Vogue Paris’ 90th Anniversary party which took place in October.

Here are our top 20 favourite looks from the red carpet, as worn by models this year – who gets your vote for most chic ensemble?
