Angelina Jolie’s new jewellery collaboration

Angelina Jolie, seriously, what can’t you do? Not content with conquering Hollywood one blockbuster at a time, raising a cohort of children and saving the world, she has now teamed up with Robert Procop, a former chief executive officer of luxe brand Asprey, to create a collection of high-end jewellery.

The news of the collaboration comes today, however Ange has already been flaunting her designs about town. The faceted black spinel necklace bezel set in rose gold she wore to the premiere of her film Salt in Berlin this year came from the collection, reports WWD. “Angelina has very classic style,” says Robert, “These are pieces she wears herself.”

So what other pieces can we expect from the range? A 353-carat pendant worn on a chain of beryl stones and a set of emerald rings in rose gold inspired by “ancient tablet engravings”. Ooh la la…

And, before you gawk at the outrageous luxuriousness of her designs, take note: the collection will not be sold in stores, but privately through Robert’s network of clients, and all the proceeds will go towards Ange’s charity, the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict.

This isn’t the first time Angelina has collaborated with Asprey. Together with partner Brad earlier this year, she created a capsule collection of gold and silver accessories of serpent-inspired jewellery, as well as ‘baby accessories’ such as an egg cup, tooth box and a feeding spoon (we’re not kidding).

So what’s next for Ange? Apart from world domination, only time will tell…
