Our Top Four Favorite Latin Grammy Fashion Trends

The women of the Latin Grammy’s know how to turn it out. While there was a lot of old fashion glamour on the “green carpet” there were also a few clear new trends on display. Here are our faves:

RED

The color of the night was definitely red! Ana Patricia Gonzalez and Natalia Jimenez wore Valentino ruffly red gowns. Brazilian beauty Camilla Belle rocked bold hints of the power color in a Carolina Herrera dress featuring a red bandeau top and a painted floral floor-length skirt. Jimenez also wore a colorful tribal-inspired look with red accents from her high heels to her lipstick for her duet with Ricky Martin.

SEQUINS

J. Lo wore a bronze sequined long-sleeved Andrew Gn keyhole gown while Gabriela Spanic wore a gold sleeveless gown. Sequins are a perfect way to take your look from ho-hum to holiday. For tips on how to wear sequins right, be sure to pick up the December/January issue of Latina.

CUTOUTS

Show host Lucero walked the red carpet in a sexy black lace and sheer cut-out gown that had a plunging neckline and Nelly Furtado wore a form fitting signature Herve Leger sheer cut-out dress when accepting her award. With a different, more conservative take on the cut-out look, singer Ely Guerra wore a feminine navy blue A-line dress that featured lace cut-outs along the decolletage and hemline.

SCARVES and VELVET BLAZERS FOR MEN

We noticed a couple of trends on our stylish Latino men last night too! Both Marc Anthony and Ricky Martin rocked scarves, while Anthony and Aleks Syntek, and even legendary singer Jose Luis Perales got in on the act with luxurious velvet blazers.
