Lanvin For The Masses: A Peek At the Much-Anticipated Collaboration with H&M

Like everyone else, we are waiting for November 20th to scoop up all the fabulous finds from Lanvin’s capsule collection for H&M. Priced at $249 or under (most are well under), the line is affordable but packed with luxurious touches we have come to expect from the brand. Rather than just dumbing down and cheapening the brands signature designs, this line feels like Lanvin’s cool, smart younger sister. Bright colors and bold patterns define the line, and the collection is rich with volume and texture (not an easy task at these prices). Edgy graphic tees are paired with suiting and faux fur coats. Ramatically ruffled skirts are paired with animal print or faux fur coats in modern silhouettes. Flirty, belted, minidresses in bright solids and florals with exaggerated ruffles and structural shoulders are sophisticated party looks. LBDs are incorporated into the collection for those who don’t venture from black, and are just as much fun as their colorful counterparts. Case in point? Whimsical tulle-skirted dresses in either black or bright red with sweetheart illusion necklines are show-stoppers. Shoes and accessories further emphasize the fun, whimsical vibe of the collection. From bow-adorned leather gloves, to chunky mixed chain necklaces in metallics or brights, to $99 pumps in bold turquoise or with ribbon-tied ankle straps, to cheeky clutches, the fun accessories enhance this already chic and hard-hitting collection.
