Julia Krantz Shell Collection

There is two types of fashion designers: the ones who are inspired by the past, while remixing it with present influences and those who envision the future, and that’s the case for Swedish fashion designer Julia Krantz who has created this ‘Shell’ collection of garments comprising translucent fabrics draped over metal frame for her final project at HDK School of Design and Crafts in Gothenburg, Sweden.

One Response to Julia Krantz Shell Collection

  1. Shell collection by young designer Julia Kranz is about a woman who would find her place in a Masamune Shirow’s manga as an armored dancer. New designers are putting in their works all the suggestions they grew up with. She left herself be inspired by anatomical elements, inner organs and physical symmetry. She built linear metal construction together with outer, transparent garments. Adding light she enhanced three-dimensional experience and physical body.
