Vogue’s spicy hues

Perhaps it’s the side braids, or maybe it’s the tribal themes, either way this photo shoot has an adventure on the high sea element. A pea green dress, peasant tops and saffron silks by the likes of Marc Jacobs and Salvatore Ferragamo stand out against an ocean backdrop for this Vogue UK shoot.

Willow Smith – Teen Vogue Star

Little girl with huge ambitions, Willow Smith, has done her first ever magazine shoot for Teen Vogue. She makes funny faces and demonstrates her unstable but rather interesting fashion sense.

On one photo Willow Smith wears a bright blue leather jacket with fancy studs and zippers on it. She accessorized her cute look with a couple of amusing gismos and a colorful scarf in her hair.

The second pic is more Willow-oriented. The singer wears a shirt covered all over with prints featuring newspaper articles and photographs about Willow Smith herself.

In the interview for Teen Vogue Willow Smith says she wears everything she wants: “I wear anything I feel like. If I want to put on a pair of Converse with a pencil stuck through them, I will.”

Taking about Justin Bieber Willow says frankly she is not in love with the teenage star: “Justin’s like my big brother. I don’t have a crush on him.”

So, what do you think about Willow Smith and her first pictorial?

NY Fashion Week: Spotlight on Mara Hoffman

Turbans and veils added ambiance to Mara Hoffman’s tribal-and-desert themed fall/winter collection. While patterns were wild, silhouettes were reigned in for sleek sophistication with a modern edge. We appreciated that these looks were truly 3 dimensional. Super-skinnies in a tribal pattern were paired with matching tunics with intricate and unexpected tassel embellishments in the back. A long sleeve long-and-lean maxi dress in a zebra pattern stayed fresh with a hood and a surprise open back. Strapless and spaghetti-strapped cocktail dresses were bohemian, with macramé detail, exotic patterns, tassel embellishments, and light-as-air fabrics. And a stunning, billowy, floor-length caftan was luxurious and rounded out this cohesive collection beautifully. Her clothes were thoughtful, polished, and bold… bravo!
