With spring come flowers; and this time round, they have made their way to the wardrobe because almost all leading designers and couture houses are using flower prints for their spring/summer 2011 collections.
Elegant
This elegant Etro creation brings the essence of spring right on to the catwalk. With a white base and a bold flower print, this front open gown with a kimono sleeve looks ravishing and lends elegance to your wardrobe. The designer could not resist a couple of floral print designs even though the collection is almost entirely of non-floral prints.
Feminine
This D&G creation is unique with its high slit floral gown paired with a solid blazer. The designer duo has used a multitude of floral prints ranging from bold floral prints to delicate flower laces. They have designed their entire collection around floral prints. Beautiful shades of pink, lemon yellow, and even olive have been used to bring out the light spring air. They have combined solids and gingham with floral prints to create unique combinations.
Girlie
Erdem’s spring/summer collection 2011 is essentially an ode to flowers and feminine grace. He has used floral prints of all sizes in his creations sometimes combining them in the same dress. Floral prints predominate in many of his creations and have also been used as detailing in others. The gorgeous dresses bring out the girl in you.
