Amy Winehouse Designed For Fred Perry

Amy Winehouse isn’t the person I feel admiration to but I can’t but feel glad she is no longer that horrible-looking young lady who is under alcohol or drugs wherever she goes or whatever she does. She’s changed her lifestyle and that, in turn, changed her look, dramatically. Besides, she’s become more serious and business-oriented. A few days ago she launched her new collection for Freddy Perry which she promoted herself.

Amy Winehouse is often called a style icon of a kind. She is known for her love to Freddy Perry label, so it’s quite clear that Amy felt very excited when she was suggested designing a range in 50s style.

On the photos to promote her line for Freddy Perry Amy looks fresh and stylish wearing simple but elegant pieces. The collection includes only 17 items, both apparel and accessories. Retailing between £22 and £100, the clothes will be sold at Fred Perry stores and some concessions.

Amy confessed she felt very happy when Fred Perry representatives offered her the job:

“I knew exactly what I wanted, and I love Fred Perry so much. I was honoured that they would even, like, ‘Do you want to come and do a line?’ Me, like, me?”

However, when she heard people called her a fashion icon she laughed sincerely and said she dressed like ‘an old Jewish black man.’

Bizarre Shoes By Kobi Levy

Kobi Levy is the designer who doesn’t want to waste his time making shoes that are similar to millions of other typical pairs. He focuses on bizarre footwear, the one that is jaw-dropping. His imagination is incredible.

Born in Israel Kobi Levy has his own workshop where he creates his fantastic shoes. His designs are all hand-made and absolutely wearable though they look like ones you will never be able to walk in.

Kobi Levy says:

“Footwear should have its life with and without being on the feet, on the contrary to clothes that exist only when being worn.”

Kobi Levy’s designs are hard to describe because no words can explain how a sex doll shoe could be created. I don’t even want to think about what the inspiration was.

Beyonce’s mom brings full-figured fashions to Walmart

NEW YORK — Tina Knowles taps just about everyone around her to be a fit model for her new line of clothes that just moved into Walmart, from her best 50-something-year-old friend in Houston to the young hip woman answering phones in her Manhattan office. And, yes, her daughter Beyonce already has samples from the upcoming spring collection.

But nothing goes into the collection, called Miss Tina, that she doesn’t think complements her own figure.

“I’m the best model for this,” Knowles says. “I’m busty, I’m full under the arms and around the back. I couldn’t wear jackets or a white button-down shirt before, and I don’t want bare arms. All I was looking for was a jacket that actually closed.”

Knowles started this label — separate from the more upscale House of Dereon and junior line Dereon that she works on with Beyonce — about three years ago, originally partnering with HSN. It was a great experience that afforded her the chance to get feedback from customers, Knowles says.

Alessandra Ambrosio and Anna Dello Russo’s Love Affair Continues in December’s Japanese Vogue

Japanese Vogue fashion director Anna Dello Russo styled famous Victoria’s Secret hottie Alessandra Ambrosio for the fall 2010 Moschino campaign. After that, Ambrosio began appearing in a slew of Dello Russo–styled Japanese Vogue spreads, and hasn’t missed an issue since this month’s. She has a good amount of real estate on the December pages as well, shot by Giampaolo Sguro, which is where these new images come from. Ambrosio, who could not be more deliciously sparkly for the holiday season (what’s up, J.Crew?), wears her hair big, like she did in the spring 2011 Marc Jacobs show, which is a nice complement to the monolithic jewelry.

Speaking of which, this woman’s evidently got some seriously resilient earlobes. ADR and Ale seem like a pretty winning (and sparkly!) combo. Thoughts?
