Lancôme Fall 2010 Makeup collection-Daria Werbowy and Elettra Wiedemann

This Fall, Lancôme revitalizes the tumultuous decade of the ’20’s, with a makeup collection designed by artistic director Aaron De May. The French Coquettes Color Collection glamorizes the Parisian woman at the beginning of the 20th Century: luxurious, avant-garde, and urban. Loved Lancôme spokesmodels Daria Werbowy and Elettra Wiedemann make their first co-appearance in the ad campaign, pictured by Mario Testino.

“Together, this pair perfectly expresses my vision of a hedonistic era during which women freed themselves of conventions and were able, for the very first time, to express their personality through their style, clothes, hair…and of course their makeup”, explains Aaron De May.

The Lancôme collection’s stellar products include La Rose Deco, a multi-color powder compact for subtle radiance, Ombre Magnétique, a gel-like shimmery eye shadow and Le Vernis Nail Trio “Kissed By Paris,” a set of three mini polishes.

Will Julia Roberts and Chelsea Clinton Inspire a Craze for Big, Floppy Hats?

Who do we thank for the spectacular image of Chelsea Clinton popping into Vera Wang’s studio wearing a raffia headpiece that awesomely enveloped almost her entire head? The aptly named Hat Attack, that’s who. That’s the label that made the $80 Raffia Sun Hat Chelsea wears in the picture. (And if any hat can be said to attack, it’s that one.) Hat Attack also made the floppy raffia fedora Julia Roberts wears in the sap-fest* that will be the Eat Pray Love movie. Hat Attack says orders are up since images of Roberts in the hat came out, and the same thing is likely to happen with Chelsea’s model. And why shouldn’t they spark a big floppy-hat craze? Giant hats are perfect for summer hiding — like if you’re at the pool and a stranger tries to say silly things to you, you can just turn your brim down, get back to your book, and pretend you’re not in their presence.

like to be prepared for anything. It’s just the type of person that I am. When I’m on a date, I try to always look my best. One way to do this is to always use bronzer.

Like diamonds, bronzer is a girl’s best friend. Makeup, specifically bronzer, transforms a person. To make sure that I’m always tan, I used to go to tanning salons. After I realized that they were poisonous and very harmful, I fell in love with bronzer.

Just for you to compare, I’m posting this Mulberry Fall 2010 ad campaign. Mulberry executives went a more traditional way than Missoni and made their adverts printed and playful.

Beautiful Abbey Lee Kershaw and Hanne Gaby Odiele shared their promotional duties and posed for Mulberry Fall 2010 campaign in bright and youthful clothing. Purple dresses and jackets, leopard-printed bags and boots as well as stripy violet scarf and accessories of wild palette – all these looked cute and stylish.
