Find the Perfect Birthday Gift For Your Significant Other

Men are so hard to buy gifts for. But, my favorite gift to buy a boyfriend is a wallet. Everyone can always use a wallet. Even if your significant other has a wallet, he can always use another one. Besides, what’s better then using a wallet from the person you love the most? The Paul Smith wallet is a keeper. It’s sexy and trendy so every man is sure to love it.

Women are a little easier to shop for. We love clothes and jewelry. One way to ensure that your girlfriend will love your gift is to buy her jewelry. Remember, jewelry is a girl’s best friend. Necklaces are always a good choice. It’s an item that your girlfriend can show off to her friends and she can wear it close to her heart. You can’t beat that. My favorite necklace is the Tiffany key collection. It looks awesome and you can tell your girlfriend that it’s the key to your heart. I can’t think of anything more romantic!

Rachel Zoe on Season 3: “It’s Vastly Different.”

You may think you know exactly what to expect from the upcoming third season of The Rachel Zoe Project. As Zoe herself put it in a recent telephone call, “Lots of fashion. Lots of photo shoots. All the usual trials and tribulations of Rachel Zoe, Incorporated.” But—while the new episodes will certainly have all that (and then some)—the celebrity stylist extraordinaire also said that the underlying storyline of the third season is “very different. It’s vastly different. You’ll see a new dynamic develop between the team.”

Cartier International Polo Party Brings Out the Stars

Last weekend, a mix of British and American stars and socialites headed to Surrey, England to celebrate at Cartier’s International Polo Party. And we love seeing them in their summertime best! Both Cat Deeley and Leslie Mann opted to wear flowing, printed designs (Deeley’s was vintage) to the polo match, while Camilla Belle kept things crisp in white (with just a dash of color). Geri Halliwell broke the party’s casual fashion mold by sporting a skin-tight, figure-flattering Herve Leger minidress. The highlight of the event (besides the match)? The traditional afternoon tea, of course.

Naomi Watts to Front Ann Taylor Fall 2010 Campaign

Oscar-nominated actress Naomi Watts is taking on a brand new role: model. She’s been tapped to be the face of Ann Taylor‘s fall campaign. Following in the footsteps of previous ad stars Milla Jovovich and Heidi Klum, Naomi posed for legendary fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh in the collection, which a release noted “was inspired by Ernest Hemingway’s A Moveable Feast and focuses on mixing European sophistication with timeless American style.” Fall 2010 marks the one-year anniversary of head designer Lisa Axelson—who’s done some amazing things for the brand—and the new collection includes plenty of chic staples, including little black dresses, statement jewels, leopard print, and luxe coats. Watts is certainly perfect for the part—in our opinion, the cool blonde epitomizes classic style, as you can see in this exclusive behind-the-scenes shot.

Spice Up Your Fall Wardrobe

Minimalism ruled the Fall 2010 runways. Don’t get us wrong, we loved the architecturally inspired cuts and colors; but, after a awhile we felt adrift in a sartorial sea of stone and slate. So we’ve picked a few fall pieces that highlight upcoming trends to show how you can inject luxe textures (like this airy confection of a dress) and bright colors into your clothing collection. Click through our gallery to see ideas of how to avoid a washed-out fall wardrobe. For more information or to purchase, please contact lizzy@decadestwo.com.

Top 5 Summer Beauty Trends

We get it: There’s no way you’re going to try that albino eyebrow trend (seen on the Prada runway), but that doesn’t mean there aren’t subtle ways to change your look. Now that summer’s in full swing, it’s time you at least go for one of these cool beauty trends:

1. Slicked-back bun

Instead of using greasy serum or sticky gel, de-frizz and protect your color by rubbing a nickel-sized dollop of sunscreen (or whatever extra you have left over after sunscreening your face and body) into damp hair, then twist locks into a loose bun above the nape of your neck. So glam!

2. Orange pedicure

This sunny shade will brighten your day and enhance your glow, even if you’re just sporting a self-tan (as you should be).

3. Smooth legs

Take a vacation from shaving and try a depilatory. Wipe off the hair removal cream with a warm, damp washcloth and follow up with a stubble-minimizing self-tanner for a week of silky smoothness.

4. Violet lip gloss

Bright fuchsia lipstick is so last year. Try a sheer purple that will bring out warm, golden tones in your complexion.

5. Soft skin

Substitute boring body lotion with a lightweight body oil that leaves skin ridiculously soft with a pretty, shimmer-free sheen. Rub a drop or two onto damp skin or add the oil directly into your bath and soak.

Vampire Weekend and MGMT Champion East Coast Prep

One of the most popular trends in the menswear department for spring is the East Coast prep look – as seen on contemporary indie bands Vampire Weekend and MGMT.

East Coast prep is polished from head to toe, and a typical outfit is comprised of a buttoned-up plaid or printed oxford shirt (plus bow tie, natch), cropped pants, and either boat shoes or desert boots.

Ezra Koenig, Vampire Weekend’s front man, rocks the classic East Coast prep look, whether he’s onstage or off, and the classic lines of his prepster wardrobe seem to match his band’s signature upbeat, worldly sound.

Koenig often opts for a pair of skinny jeans, or solid/printed cotton shorts in the hotter months, when VW plays festivals.

Up top, Koenig sports a tight-fit button-down or quirky cotton t-shirt, complete with witty slogan, which Koenig was seen wearing backstage at this year’s Coachella festival.

It’s easy to mimic Koenig’s classic look – stick with simple colors like gray, navy blue, and white, but make sure to add a splash of color somewhere in your outfit, whether it be a pair of light pink shorts or a colorful pair of oxfords. Finish your entire look off with a pair of Ray-Ban wayfarers to stay suave.
