Shoes Change Woman’s Personality

It’s not a secret that good shoes make us feel confident. But famous footwear designer Jimmy Choo believes they can do even more – change a woman’s personality.

Having this idea in mind the shoemaker thinks that while creating perfect shoes he plays an important role in women’s lives.

He said:

We all wear shoes, every day – we have to. So they are a very important part of your wardrobe. They say something about the way you hold your body. Shoes must be elegant, comfortable. They affect the person’s personality.”

The 40-year-old designer has been designing shoes since he was just 11, but still he sometimes has battles with himself while trying to improve his creations.

He added:

I’m a perfectionist. I get angry and I lose my tempter, but only over shoes. My temper is very quick but there’s never anything personal. If I lose my tempter with a member of staff, afterwards we’ll go for a drink. Maybe I just love my shoes too much!”.

Megan Fox At Jonah Hex Premiere

Megan Fox doesn’t often appear at glam events but when she does she always looks her best. At the Los Angeles premiere of Jonah Hex (on June 17) the star looked sexy and glamorous wearing Giorgio Armani Prive dress.

The dress was just perfect. The red mini slashed seductively down to the waist left little to imagination.

Gucci Adds “Color” To Latest Campaign

Gucci‘s pre-fall campaign continues in the same vein of luxury as the label’s previous advertisements with these glamorous images featuring Raquel Zimmermann and breakout star Joan Smalls who is also rumored to appear in Givenchy’s fall campaign.

At a time when models of color are rarely seen in major label’s campaign ads, commercials, or on their runways, this is a big step forward.

A Look at Resort 2011: Erdem

Erdem has a feeling for Fortuny pleating and for flower prints—turquoise, teal, and dabs of pink, “sort of messed up with static electricity on my computer.” That makes for an emblematically romantic high-collared halter-neck dress with a hint of the seventies about it, a very Erdem-ish look he’s thinking of carrying over into spring.

But this is resort: a collection in which the first recipient of the British Fashion Council/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund award—a designer who’s already proved himself a quick study in the art of charming American customers—has really got down to business.

“I think this season’s a logical proposal—clothes to wear any time of day, any time of year.”

Not that his version of pragmatic sportswear is exactly career-oriented (his shirts are in crunchy black cotton lace, for instance), but there are more daytime separates, like flower-printed silk knits and bell-shaped skirts, popping up—and a short plissé skirt in the Fortuny spirit.

Thandie Newton: Get The Look For Less

In terms of personal style, actress Thandie Newton deserves much more attention.

Always a fashionable refresher at star-studded events, Thandie is starting to receive praise for her casual ensembles as well.

She was seen recently in an unexpected pairing of sequin heels and a military parka, and she executed the look brilliantly.

The star also has a knack for sporting tailored items and menswear-inspired pieces while staying seductive and ultra-feminine.

Trend: Lace

If there is one fabric that seems to best define a woman, it’s lace. Delicate and daring, the designs are exquisite, the feel is both dainty and strong.

The vintage quality adds a unique touch to modern designs, and can add a variety of texture and complexity to something simple.

Colors can be beautiful, but nothing is more powerful than a French lace in black.

Designers are on board for lace this season, taking lace into new directions, applying it to both beauty and ready to wear.

Although I’m not a fan of overdone nails, a black lace appliqué on a manicured nail looks chic and fresh, seen at both Reem Acra and Tracy Reese shows. Roberto Cavalli designed a perfect, stiletto bootie in lace and patent leather, t-strap design.

Gorgeous eye make-up in lace adds a dramatic look for an evening out. Love and adored in all decades, a lace eye can take you to fashion icon status.  Lace stockings add texture and elegance to any black dress or pair of mini shorts.

Although it may not be the most appropriate look for summer, add a little lace to your wardrobe for fall, and take your look up a notch on the drama meter.
