Olivia Wilde in Russia

The Russians are organised and efficient. During the Germans attempted invasion of Stalingrad in 1942/43 the Soviets had enough warning of the advance to ship virtually all the city’s grain, cattle, and rolling stock across the Volga river and out of harm’s way. This “harvest victory” left the city short of food even before the German attack began. But it meant that there was industry elsewhere. It was clearly a similar work ethic and conviction that allowed Russian GQ to convince 26-year-old Olivia Wilde who’s starred in The O.C. The Black Donnellys and most recently House, to take quite so many clothes off.

Beyonce Promotes C&A Clothing Line

As it turns out sometimes stars do things that nobody expects them to do. For example, Beyonce promotes sales of C&A Cloting Line for Dereon and does that secretly. Yes, the new ad campaign for the collection had been shot secretly in New York last month and then, in the end of May, it was finally released.

The photos feature the singer as a superheroine or a super-robber who overcomes all obstacles and gets what she wants.

Margherita Missoni Designed Handbag Collection

Margherita Missoni, who is the brand’s ambassador, is now an accessory designer as well. She has recently launched her first ever handbag collection for the fashion house.

The range has been inspired by Margherita’s best friends: Eugenie Niarchos, Tatiana Santo Domingo, Lauren Santo Domingo and Coco Brandolini. All the ladies are well-known in the fashion industry and now they have bags named after them.

The five designs are named ‘Euge’, ‘Tats’, ‘Coco B’, ‘Coquine’ and ‘LSD’. Each piece is of a pretty design but they are also very expensive. The bags range in price between $1,275 for the LSD to $3,140 for the Euge. Besides, you can adorn a bag with detachable Missoni pompoms that go for extra $185.

Avril Lavigne’s Alice in Wonderland Collection

Avril Lavigne is a big girl now but her childhood was so happy she just cannot forget about it. So, when the remake of the iconic film Alice in Wonderland was being shot she decided to take an active part in the process.

First of all she offered Mr Burton to write a song for the movie and she finally did that. When the song was ready Avril didn’t feel satisfied. She made up her mind to design a clothing line inspired by the story. And now the singer-turned designer has launched her junior Alice in Wonderland collection as a part of Abbey Dawn line.

Speaking about the new range Avril said:

“I went through binders of images from the film to get inspiration for the clothing. We ended up using a lot of the floral prints, which were the flowers with the faces, and the verbiage like ‘Shrink me.’ It was kind of like anything and everything. My favourite is the white T-shirt with the rabbit stopwatch on it because it’s the iconic stopwatch.”

As we can see at the pics the collection is rather diverse and includes pieces in black and bright pink. The T-shirts, hoodies, shorts, dresses and other items in the line are rather affordable, they all come under $50.

Avril felt very excited at the launch party. She said:

“I am a huge fan of the Alice in Wonderland story and am beyond thrilled that Disney has joined this venture with Abbey Dawn to celebrate the launch of Mr. Burton’s film. Kohl’s is a great partner for my brand, and together we look forward to bringing this limited-edition product to our customers.”

Kaya Scodelario InStyle UK Magazine July 2010

Kaya Scodelario, who is an English actress and a fashion model, poses for InStyle UK July 2010 issue wearing tempting lingerie and clothing pieces.

The girl looks pretty and sexy, and also stylish in all those revealing outfits. The only thing I don’t like about these photos is Kaya’s makeup. It’s too black.

DKNY Pre-Fall 2010 Collection

Five gorgeous models – Anna Gushina, Hyoni Kang, Kelsey Van Mook, Keke Lindgard and Ali Lagarde – pose together wearing pieces from DKNY Pre-Fall 2010 Collection.

There is no way they can be torn away from each other as together they look like a one single piece of DKNY fashion and chic.

Dressed in pretty and stylish items girls look great. Each picture features models wearing a certain type of clothing. For example, on one of the photos you can see them sporting classic garments: a trenchcoat, a coctail dress, black trousers, white jacket, etc – as if all the girls were at an office meeting now.

Frankie Morello Shoe Collection S/ S 2010

There are so many shoe designs that we often just can’t determine what looks better on us. However, designers keep on working and creating more and more new styles.

Frankie Morello found his niche when used buckles in his shoes. You may say that buckles have been with us for God knows how many years and you’ll be right, of course. Nevertheless, Frankie did something different. He attached buckles to shoe platforms in addition to plenty of buckles on the shoe fabric. The result is an innovative design that will become a favorite with lots of girls who love wearing heels but don’t want a classy design.
